The ANZAC Republic knocks off Mid-Western Confederation

Tremendous changes have occured today, as the ANZAC Republic vaulted to third place, knocking off the long time challenger Mid-Western Confederation. The ANZACs were helped in large part by the dread pirate CypherPax who is vacationing in ANZAC for a while. It is no secret that the pirates of G.R.O.S.S. hold the Mid-Westerners in very low regard, as the battles between the rival factions have been furious. But this development certainly must be construed as a prelude to all out war! CypherPax, who doesn't intend on staying in ANZAC Republic, was quoted as saying "I'm a veteran of many battles with the MWC. Typically, they are quiet most of the time, but they respond to challenges with what Gerraken likes to call a missile attack where they'll launch a flurry of games in a sort period. If we can withstand that, they'll lose interest again..."

The Mid-Western Confederation, reeling from watching the stunningly bad Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team, could only muster a small counterattack, which gained them third place again for a few minutes. However, the ANZAC Republic responded with authority. Overlord kryofx later sent a message to ANZAC, which read "You darn ANZACS are just too slipery. I boosted us back into #3, and not 20 minutes later you take it back!" This conflict looks to heat up and ANZAC Republic Security Teams kept a close eye out for the well-known MWC missiles.

Realms Beyond and Kingdom of Aldar are now at 12th and 13th respectively. It is this reporter's opinion that these two will surely make their way into the Top 10 very soon. Congratulations to these two empires for their dedication!

The European Alliance is looking to capitalize on Mid-Western Confederation's troubles by grabbing fourth place. The scrappy Euros are still a force (or G_Force) to be reckoned with. But they will need to watch the ever-growing Jedi Republic, which gained another powerful overlord. Essex99 defected from the Canadian Star Federation due to the Undead's recent inactivity. The arrival of Essex99 has pushed the Jedi to within striking distance of the Euros.

Overlords in the Metaverse are still anxiously awaiting the arrival of version 1.11. Repeated requests for information from Frogboy have been left unanswered, but there is hope! In the meantime, we shall all keep our eyes out for this version!

I'm not in the "Metaverse" but I really enjoy reading the stories of the different empires. They seem to have taken on a life of their own. Kudos to you!
