The Fellowship of the Ring Empire surpassed 3 million points over the weekend, marking yet another record which has fallen in the Metaverse. As competition continues to increase between the empires of the Metaverse, the Fellowship of the Ring have maintained their consistent dedication and persistance. As they have been throughout their tenure in first place, the Fellowship remains a haven for common sense and discussion.

There are signs, however, of a coming storm. The followers of the One Ring have noticed their lead narrowing, and have begun to prepare for an onslaught by the Special Forces empire. Assisted by Ginata el bohemio, Special Forces has begun nipping away at the Fellowship's lead. Though the Fellowship is still around 600,000 points ahead of Special Forces, the approach of a new challenge is welcomed by the Fellowship. A member of the Fellowship Council, Theoden of Rohan, was quoted as saying "Our friends in Special Forces have always been very polite, but if they desire first place, they'll find the Fellowship a bit more of a challenge!" Diplomatic as always, Theoden then smiled and waved off further comment, leading political analysts wondering if relations between the two empires were becoming strained. Sources within the Fellowship Halls say the Fellowship continues to view Special Forces as friendly, but are cautiously evaluating events as they happen.

The Evil Empire unveiled their new logo over the weekend, amid cheers and celebration. Tossing aside their previous logo of the Pure Evil icon, they opted instead for a symbol of complete terror, a bleeding All-Seeing Eye. This new logo, combined by their truly insidious website, only solidifies their struggle to be the most evil empire in the Metaverse. Emperor HairytheTaco could not be reached for comment, but trusted aid bakka was quoted as saying "Bite me, I'm bad!". The Evil Empire is currently searching for a new motto for their empire. Among the ideas being tossed about are "Evil Is the Only Way to True Power", "Pain is insignificant", "Got Evil?", and "EVIL, it's not just for breakfast anymore...".

Every overlord is anxiously awaiting the arrival of version 1.12 as it is due for release sometime today. The Lord of Stardock, Frogboy, has seemingly gained control of the Telenath and has the Metaverse in a spell of excitement.

The Weekly Spotlight Empire is none other than Apolyton. This empire has been looked at by some to be a dead empire, reeling from it's glory days. But LDiCesare has seemed to keep Apolyton afloat and the empire currently stands at 10th place. The Metaverse Review desired comment from the emperor of Apolyton, but was met by a metallic voice stating there was no real emperor of the Empire. Could LDiCesare coordinate a revival of Apolyton and once again return the empire to glory? Recruits are being welcomed to their empire site.
