The day has finally arrived! Many overlords waited anxiously all day for the XPack to be released, and though it took a bit longer than we all expected, everyone seems to be thrilled with it!

The Galactic Civilizations Expansion Pack is the free expansion that has been promised by our good friends at Stardock. Those overlords who subscribed to Drengin.net were able to beta test the expansion for a couple of months, so some knew what to expect. But for those who couldn't subscribe to Drengin.net, the expansion pack has delivered it's promise of better gameplay.

Brad a.k.a. Frogboy, will be holding a chat on the Expansion Pack release tonight at 8 PM Eastern. It is expected to draw a huge crowd, as many are anxious to ask many questions regarding the XPack and future releases by the GalCiv team.

In empire news, New Texas Republic has overtaken the Space Arachnids for 13th place! A hearty Yee-Haw goes out to our friends in Texas! The war continues to rage between the ANZAC Republic and the European Alliance. The Aussies have made some headway, but the Euros seem to have things under control for the moment. In fact, the European Alliance is soon to overtake the Canadian Star Federation for 4th place!

In the top two spots, the Fellowship of the Ring hold a precarious lead over the pirates of G.R.O.S.S. after losing it over the weekend. Due to some heavy duty gameplay by our intrepid adventurers, the Fellowship is struggling to maintain a slight advantage.
