A look at the changes of the Metaverse
Published on November 11, 2003 By Theoden of Rohan In PC Gaming
The Metaverse has witnessed some strange events in the past several days. The number one player in the Metaverse has changed her name yet again and is now known as Forsooth! Cupids rarely miss. Formerly known as Cotal and Amidala, Forsooth! Cupids rarely miss has created her own empire, known as Serendipity. An Invite Only empire, Serendipity is now at eleventh place. Many have wondered what Cotal/Amidala/Forsooth!'s intentions have been. Though she hasn't communicated with anyone in several days, it is the belief of this reporter that she merely wants to have a little fun. I believe no malice has ever been intended by her, but she is truly a rolling stone. Perhaps now she will find solace and comfort.

Forsooth!'s departure was forshadowed by her deletion of scores. This has intrigued many, as she has regained her score now. How did she manage to temporarily delete her scores? We may never know. However, her loss has given the Jedi Republic a harder road to follow in their pursuit of the Fellowship of the Ring. On a side note, it is good to see the Jedi Republic returning to normal. They have endured a ferocious Civil War and have come out stronger from it. The efforts of the Jedi's new webmaster, Darth Kryo, have begun to bear fruit. The Jedi Republic's website is an excellent example of the dedication and strength of that empire.

The Jedi Republic is currently embroiled in a conflict with the Mid-Western Confederation. The farmers have awakened, led by the efforts of kasualkid. Due to kasualkid's recent activity, the MWC is within 65,000 points of the Jedi.

The Fellowship of the Ring are now less than 50,000 points away from 3 million points. What was once considered unheard of now seems to be well within reach. Ray the Wanderer has returned to activity, albeit part-time, and is spurring the Fellowship on. The Fellowship is also only 100 games away from 1000 games overall. Several wagons of alcohol have been spotted heading toward the Fellowship Halls and preparations are being made for the celebrations which are anticipated.

The Metaverse Review would now like to stop and thank everyone for their support and well-wishes. Editor-In-Chief Theoden of Rohan expresses his heartfelt appreciation to all Review readers and hopes this news source will continue for a long time.

The Weekly Spotlight Empire for this week is G.R.O.S.S. This empire has been around for a very long time, but has recently endured a devastating change. Short for Get Rid of Slimy alienS, G.R.O.S.S. has been the source of pirate activity since May 3rd. This colorful empire is headed by PontiusBruinPilot. Captain Pontius occasionally upsets people with his matter-of-fact statements and his undying loyalty to his empire. However; there are few with such enthusiasm for the game. Currently, the pirates are at a bit of a disadvantage, but with a few recruits, the pirate scourge could once again challenge for the top spot in the Metaverse. PontiusBruinPilot is now accepting new pirates at their empire page.
