The Jedi Republic Continues to Improve
Published on October 21, 2003 By Theoden of Rohan In PC Gaming
The Jedi Republic has welcomed quite a few members lately and has improved to sixth place in the Metaverse, just ahead of the Canadian Star Federation. One major aquisition in particular is Mayito7777, who defected from the MWC. His disappearance has left MWC further back in their struggle to overtake G.R.O.S.S. for second, and has moved them further back in their quest for 2 million points.

Realms Beyond is continuing to make noise in the Metaverse as the empire has taken 12th place. Their meteoric rise has been something of a mystery to many as they are quite close to 11th spot. The New Texas Republic leads Realms Beyond by less than 10,000 points and unless New Texas Republic does something quick, they are in serious trouble.

The Kingdom of Aldar is riding high as there are now two overlords in residence. Aldar has taken his empire to 14th place and looks determined to rise even higher. Babylonia lies directly ahead, only 500 points in front of Kingdom of Aldar.

The ANZAC Republic is now less than 100,000 points away from Mid-Western Confederation. The overlords from ANZAC are led by Emperor Bluesteel and his most trusted Fleet Admiral (and number one Metaverse overlord) Cotal. Together, they seek to topple the Manifest Destiny of MWC. The coming battles in this war are sure to be fierce, as MWC has never gone down easily.

Everyone in the Metaverse is anxiously awaiting the release of version 1.11. Due to trouble with Stardock's servers, the version (which is complete) is hopefully due this week. Some of the more interesting changes will include: removal of the 1 Influence Point bug, a limit on the number of starbases that can be built in a sector, a general lowering of AI intelligence to counteract the increase in difficulty, and more!

The Weekly Spotlight Empire is none other than Evil Empire. The Evil ones are currently in 8th place and seem to be quite active. The Evil Empire has one of the most strict membership policies ever seen in the Metaverse. All overlords in Evil Empire must be of evil alignment, which means new overlords must submit an evil game before joining the Evil Empire.

In the past several days, these dark lords have kicked two new members out of their lair due to non-alignment. Though this seems at first non-productive, the Evil Empire has been able to maintain a fairly stable crew of active overlords. This fact is the sole reason that an empire consisting of only 8 overlords has risen to 8th place in the Metaverse! If you are interested in joining Evil Empire, you are required to be of evil alignment. Click here to join HairyTheTaco and his band of evil-doers.

That's right. Let the people know that the EVIL EMPIRE doesn't dick around with non-evil-aligned members including no gamers (those who haven't submitted a game).

Good work,
